The Capital City Public Market hosts as many as 150 small local businesses at the height of our season. From artists, to farmers, specialty food purveyors, on-site street food, bakeries, wineries, pet vendors, coffee brewers, and even candle makers.  Each vendor thoughtfully creates and handcrafts their products right here in IDAHO!

Rediscovered Books: Presentation and Signing

Author Talk Book Signing

Join Boise-based hiking guidebook authors and landscape photographers Scott Marchant and Tracey Baer on Sunday,May 31st at 11:30 AM for a presentation and slideshow featuring hikes from their new book—The Hiker's Guide: Idaho’s Hells Canyon and Seven Devils Country

The guidebook highlights 55 hikes in the rough-hewn Hells Canyon and the spectacular peaks in the Seven Devils mountain range. It also includes hikes in the Hitt, Cuddy, and West Mountains near Cambridge, Council, New Meadows, and Riggins. The book will be available for purchase at the presentation. Come discover new trails in this little-visited, yet incredibly beautiful area.

Event is free and open to the public.  Registration recommended due to limited seating. 

Books will be available for purchase.  Authors will be book signing after the event.

Ketchum Libaray: The Hiker's Guide to Hells Canyon & Seven Devils Country

Join Boise-based hiking guidebook authors and landscape photographers Scott Marchant and Tracey Baer for a presentation and slideshow featuring hikes from their new book—The Hiker's Guide Idaho’s Hells Canyon and Seven Devils Country.

The guidebook highlights 55 hikes in the depths of Hells Canyon and the spectacular peaks of the Seven Devils mountain range. Meridian Fine Art Festival

Join us June 27th and 28th, 2026 at Kleiner Park in Meridian, Idaho for the 3rd Annual Meridian Fine Art Festival. We will be featuring 125 artists and craftsmen from the Pacific Northwest with everything from painting to leatherwork, wood burning to stained glass, as well as handcrafted jewelry. Shop till you drop at the 3rd Annual Meridian Fine Art Festival! This is an outdoor, juried, fine art fair, conveniently located near the Village in Meridian. The park is complete with a playground and splash pad for the kids. Enjoy live entertainment by Matt Roos and Friends, as well as a performance by Raks Al Dunia (Sunday only). Mouth watering food vendors will be on site – plus – Designed for You Face Painting will be available for the kiddos and Photo Booth Boise will be taking free keepsake photos!

This is a special release event as this guidebook is not yet available anywhere else, but will be available for purchase at the presentation!

This open-air festival, held on the weekend following Labor Day each September, provides visitors of all ages and interests with the opportunity to meet more than 200 artists and purchase their works. During the three-day event, Boise Art Museum presents a variety of contemporary arts and crafts along with wonderful food, live music and entertainment, and hands-on activities for children.
